Orange County residents can obtain financial assistance for spay/neuter by stopping by the Shelter during normal business hours and asking for a certificate. These certificates are used just like coupons and are good for 60 days from the date issued. All veterinarians in Orange County participate in this program, as do many veterinarians in surrounding counties. However, please call and verify with your vet of choice if their office is not local. The Orange County Animal Shelter is located at:
11362 Porter Road
Orange, Virginia 22960
And is open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 10am to 6pm.

Our volunteers facilitate community access to the Shenandoah Valley Spay/Neuter Clinic in Harrisonburg, Virginia. A monthly transport is held March through November.
You are asked to bring your cat or dog to a designated location in Orange. The van leaves Orange in the early morning, surgery is done that afternoon, the animals spend the night at the Harrisonburg clinic, and they are returned to Orange the next day. The transport is open to residents of all counties but pre-registration through the OCHS voicemail (540-672-0069) is required. You will be called back with confirmation. Any questions you may have can be answered at that time.
2012 Schedule To Be Announced
